REST IN PEACE VS LIVE IN PEACE
Peace is wholeness. A natural state of mind which remains calm and focused even during struggles, storms, adversities and commotions of life. War and peace, love and hatred, sorrow and happiness, doubt and conviction etc. all these begin in the heart of a man and store in the mind with lots of conflicts. Peace is not only the absence of violence conflict, it is the life force of interconnectedness. Violence is a means of suffering to life and property for millions of people across the world, Today It has affected people in every corner of the globe, endangering health, lives and livelihoods and limiting human potential. Changing a culture of violence into a culture of peace requires a transformation of problems into creative and constructive solutions. Peace lies within and everywhere from our self-existence or living to the time we rest in peace.
There is a very close coordination between live in peace and rest in peace. It's a common desire for people in the world. National Education policy 2020 proposes the holistic development through integration and building of peace-seeking mindsets across the entire
curriculum, not just in a weekly ‘moral science’ class. To commemorate and strengthen the ideals of peace both within and among all nations of the world, the United Nations General
Assembly in 1981 proclaimed the opening day of its regular session as the International Day of Peace (September 21st), a day dedicated to create a sustainable future, sustainable peace. It’s each of our duty to practice, feel, and experience self-awareness to maintain peace within and all around.
The peace and happiness of each country can only be achieved if every citizen is at peace. Though the world may be full of problems and distress, we must seek for peace. When there is no peace among the persons, then peace in society is threatened. Tagore rightly said “Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high, into that kingdom of
freedom my father let my country awake”.
The need of the hour is to develop the young generation with peace consciousness and the importance of conflict resolution.
It may not be possible to change the attitude of the present generation but it is possible to mould the future generation. For the good of the nation and for mankind. We should think the ways and means to inculcate the spirit of unity and integrity which may lead to peace.
World Peace Summit 2021 with a noble concept “Rest In Peace Vs Live In Peace” organized by 3H Companion in collaboration with 18 national and international organizations during April-May 2021 inaugurated under the gracious presence and able guidance of honourable sir Anurag Tripathi, CBSE Secretary and Sir J.K Gangal, Director CCHRD on April 8, 2021 aims to promote peace and its true essence as to live in peace. Several voices from different sectors of the society were given opportunities to express their thoughtful insights, practices and experiences.
The discussion says, we often come across messages like “May his soul rest in peace!” But the bigger question is: why doesn't he live in peace? The soul is at peace, and will surely rest in peace. However, it is our body, mind and heart that get upset. Often, people speak good about others when they leave the body. Why cannot we speak good when they are still alive, with or around us?
This thought ignites the spark to organize this summit and truly when the power of love overcomes the love for power it becomes Peace. “Peace and human progress do not come
about by themselves. It entails a will for peace. Each of our daily routine should reconnect and
experience with our natural state, with the spirit and the natural world. Live our daily life which
is a time of renewal and rejuvenation, with a sense of peace and well-being. Spirituality
should start within along with moral values and the importance of connecting to nature and the world around us. There is a lot of negative energy in this world, but we can all have peace naturally within each of us, the need is to understand and learn to live with inner peace to accept, feel and experience regardless of the challenges in life.
With the idea of fostering Peace education voices of youth, principal, teachers, mentors, Entrepreneurs, sportsmen, Spiritual and psychological leaders and therapists, Doctors, researchers, innovators, humanitarians, skill reformers, Edu media, motivators, home-makers, mindfulness activists connect, cultivate and contribute to their topics that raise issues related to peace and cultural understanding.
This noble cause of introducing, instilling and creating peace is widely projected by Ms. Chanchal Bhargava 3H Companion, in association with 18 organizations for a month with one purpose to smile and create more smiles aiming to weave the threads of oneness and peace across the globe and the summit concludes with a thoughtful insight," if you Live in Peace, it will automatically culminate into Rest In peace!
Peace begins with a smile……smile please.
