Views on NEP-2020 and its implementation:

As Brian Herbert, the great philosopher rightly said:

“The capacity to learn is a gift, the ability to learn is a skill and the willingness to learn is a choice.”

She is implementing NEP in the curriculum by adding many integrated programs. The following points will be worth mentioning here:

1. NEP states to implement STEM education in the curriculum. She has implemented this through assigning projects based on all 4 areas i.e. science, technology, engineering, and maths where students coordinated with different departments to initiate the process and explored and finally gave the output that was a project in Tinkercad.

2. NEP states to implement art-integrated and physical education integrated activities to include making learners better understand the concept. She always focuses on the integration of art and physical education in all subjects.

3. NEP states teacher education and training are the resource persons for their learners and plays the role of facilitators. She always follows a visionary approach in terms of teacher education by updating the staff about the Diksha platform for regularly updated courses.

4. She follows a multidisciplinary and holistic approach for students and teachers.

Perspective on the necessity of quality education:

The children of today are gearing up to become adult citizens of tomorrow. The growth is parallel to the future of our country, reflected through the quality of the present education system. An educator’s role becomes crucial here. It has become the need of the hour to stimulate curiosity in the young, impressionable minds and equip them with tools to be better human beings. It is widely accepted that the learning process is instrumental in shaping one’s personality and the way he/she deals with situations of life. The shift of thoughts from bookish knowledge to knowledge of life, in schools, has brought forth a sea of change. People have warmed up to the idea of education being the key to a well-rounded development instead of just a mean to acquire degrees and monetary success in life. Education must facilitate the cultivation of a healthy thought process and groom the child’s cognitive abilities. In the present competitive world, education is a basic necessity for human beings after food, clothes and shelter.

Source of knowledge and inspiration:

Dr. Bhavna considers herself to be a life- long learner and for that she strives to attain knowledge from all possible means. She doesn’t hesitate to admit that everyone teaches her in some way or the other. From some she seeks to learn and from the others she attracts the leaning subconsciously. But she consciously learns by observing others and to all these people she is gratified.

Message to the readers:

Leaders don't have to be born with charisma but are built by the actions that inspire others. In order to grow as a valiant individual, she advises five mantra of life:

· Be conscious about yourself - It’s important to embrace your own values.

· Zero expectations – Don’t expect anything from others.

· Be communicative – don’t fear to be expressive and find a leader within yourself.

· To take every obstacle as an opportunity to learn.

· Be aware of what is going on in your life as well.

Few lines near to her heart-

A rock is so hard, still lapidarist shapes it.

You desire, you explore,

Your hard work surely makes it.

Conclusion:

In her words:

Life is unpredictable, so live it to the fullest.

You never know what will happen next,

Wake up and thank God for your inner strength, health, and safety.
