Haryana : VIRTUAL PARENT ORIENTATION IN DAVPS SEC 14 Faridabad.
” A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our Universe.” Abiding by the above dictum ,DAV Public School ,Sector 14, Fbd. conducted a virtual Parent’s Orientation Programme on Sunday ,23rd August,2020 under the able guidance of head of the institution, Ms.Anita Gautam. The programme commenced with the welcome of the parents followed by displaying glorious result highlights ( of session 2019-20 )in the form of E-Newsletter “UDAAN– The Leap of Faith”.Principal Ms.Gautam in her address laid stress on effective communication between parents and children and also elaborated on multifarious tips of positive parenting, striking balance between monitoring and policing and spending quality time with their teenage wards and always encouraging them in a positive manner. Supervisory Head of Senior Secondary Segment,Ms. Rajni Ralhan introduced all the dedicated and committed faculty members of her wing.Besides,Examination Department briefed the parents about certain new examination policies,promotion criteria and their wards following digital quarantine during forthcoming exams etc.thus emphasizing role of parents as a catalyst.Stream Facilitators talked about certain codes of conduct and netiquettes to be followed by students to make e-learning more successful. Last but not least,parents of some school toppers appreciated and applauded the tireless efforts of all the teachers in sparing no efforts to make virtual teaching successful and also ensuring their 24×7 availability to their students. Finally, a vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.Tanuja Anand,Supervisory Head, Secondary Segment,eulogizing valuable guidance, vision and support given by Principal Ms. Anita Gautam in making this event a grand success. As per Davian tradition,the programme ended with the recital of Shanti Path. On the whole,the programme was enriching , motivating and proved to be a grand success.
