New Delhi: A cross cultural collaborative activity- Video conference among students of DAV Public School, RK Puram(Delhi) and KRM Public School (Chennai, Tamil Nadu) on topic- Cuisines of Delhi and Tamil Nadu was organized on 9th July,2021.
Intercultural learning establishes a more creative and healthy learning environment where students learn to accept and respect differences, and work with and support classmates who are different. In a multicultural world, students must not only be able to demonstrate an awareness of other cultures, but an appreciation and an ability to work within culturally diverse teams. In an effort to develop sense of cultural integration, collaborative activities on the topics ' TRADITIONAL GAMES' , ‘CUISINES‘ and ‘HISTORICAL MONUMENTS ’ of Delhi and Tamil Nadu was organised between the students of DAV RK PURAM and KRM PUBLIC
SCHOOL,Chennai. Students learnt about themselves and their culture as a first step to comprehend cultural complexity. Even more importantly, learning about a new culture cultivated an enthusiasm for understanding and appreciating diverse ways of living, facilitating positive regard and sharing an implicit message: Our differences are valuable and honorable. It was a great learning experience for all. The students of both the schools participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. Due to this great learning platform it was decided we will be having many such Collaborative activities between the schools in future too.
