On April 29, 2022, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will unveil the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) mandate document. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 calls for the creation of National Curriculum Frameworks (NCFs) in four areas: schooling, early childhood care and education (ECCE), teacher education, and adult education.

Four curriculum frameworks and 25 themes based on the views of the NEP, 2020 are recognised under the three categories of curriculum and pedagogy, cross-cutting issues, and other major areas of NEP, 2020 focus on systemic changes and reforms to provide inputs for the creation of these.

The mandate paper outlines the NCF's development process, as well as its expected structure and aims, as well as some of the NEP 2020's key concepts that will guide the creation of the four NCFs. The NCF is being developed through a collaborative and consultative process that begins at the district level and progresses to the state level and eventually to the national level. This mandate document includes the 'Guidelines for position papers for the creation of the national curriculum framework.'

With the support of a tech platform and mobile app, the full curricular framework process is done in a paperless manner with extensive interaction at the school, district, and state levels.
