THE SCHOOL IN DELHI WILL ALSO TEACH MAITHILI LANGUAGE : MANISH SISODIA

Maithili language will be read in Delhi schools as an optional subject (subject of choice) from eighth to twefth standard.

According to Deputy Chief Minister 'Manish Sisodia' Maithili Bhojpuri academy will prepare for competitive examination.Maithili's computer font is to be built.The Delhi govt. will also start the awards for the Maithili Bhojpuri language.A total of 12 awards will be awarded by.The event will be held at the connaugth place in delhi.

Manish Sisodia also said that Bhojpuri had not been included in the eighth schedule of the constitution,thus the Bhojpuri language could not be taught.

It will be included in the Eighth list of the constitution.

The govt also said it will start coaching classes for Maithili for students opting for it in the UPSC examinations,give awards to Maithili and Bhojpuri writers and artistes and hold cultural events to promote the languages.

"The Delhi govt has dediced to felicitate people from the field of Maihili and Bhojpuri,on the lines of languages such as Urdu,Hindi and Punjabi.There would be awards for those who work in Maithili and Bhojpuri in the fields of art,culture,journalism and theatre" sisodia said.
