NEW DELHI: Republic Day and Vasant Panchami celebrations at DIS- Sector 23
Delhi International School Sector 23, celebrated the Republic day with patriotic fervor and zest in a special assembly along with celebrating Vasant Panchami for blessings from Goddess Saraswati. Students learnt about India’s political history, freedom struggle and the constitution. They learnt how the great sons of the motherland have fought to attain freedom and make India a sovereign state, inspiring them and taking pride for our evolving nation.
The national flag was hoisted by the Executive Director and Principal of DIS accompanied with the National anthem. A small cultural programme with the Hindi and English speeches on the Republic Day and Vasant Panchami were the major highlights of the programme. The students also contributed in composing posters, writing slogans and displaying the art work to remember the sacrifices done by the great freedom fighters.
Also, Students shared that they will be watching the parades of different states and will also dedicate their time in self-studies to invoke the blessings of goddess Saraswati.
