Hi ! Let me introduce myself

I am Taruna Mongia, passionate learner and educator. I belong to a middle class Indian family, grown with ethical and religious cultural values inherited from my grandparents. My first teacher was my grandmother. She was illiterate women but very strong, liberal and modern in her thoughts. She taught me how to behave and present yourself with dignity and confidence in all favorable or un- favorable situations.

My mother, who inspires me with her patience and calm nature. My father was my true inspiration as my professional guide and role model. He was a teacher. From my child hood I saw my father working for his students. He was there for his students and always thinking for the betterment of his students. All these inspired me to take up Teaching as a profession.

During my school life, my teachers were my guide and always given me the strength and right guidance towards my learning process. I have learned that a teacher is a true friend to their students and reaches their heart to motivate them. I have applied all my leanings, which I got from my parents and teachers.

To become a good teacher one should be a good learner and always is a good student first.

I have started learning and experimenting new teaching methodologies to keep myself upgraded and to cop up with the new generation.

My strength is always my family and my students. Achievements of my students always give me feeling of proud and satisfaction about my teaching and support from my family gives me strength to pursue my dreams.

Now I have achieved a lot in my carrier and next step I have taken to give back to the society. To fulfill my hunger for satisfaction I have started working for community service. To follow the dream “Digital and Skilled India”, of our Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi , I have taken up the challenge to spread skill development among underprivileged. Devoting my time and knowledge with small kids from slum and class IV employees gives me immense pleasure and felling of completeness and initiated the project “Suakshit Beti Pashikshit Beti” a self-defense and ICT skill development program for underprivileged , supporting staff and senior citizens.

I wish that I would be able to add a little bit from my side to the society and make some of them capable of doing well in their lives.

Being an ICT teacher, everyone expects the wise and maximum use of technology in my class which is the only challenge for me. Every time I make good use of ICT in such innovative ways that make my lessons more informative, interactive and different from others. As I am a good learner, I have accepted all challenges and I keep updating my knowledge so as to give innovative ideas to my students. As I believe that become a good teacher one should be a good learner and always is a good student first.

My continuous career of 24 years as an Educator includes experience of working as HOD Computer department and CBSE Coordinator with Summer Fields School, Gurugram. Having qualification of M.Sc.(Computer Sc.), M.Com, B.Ed., persistently contributing to enable the students to be academically excellent so to have the best options for their professional life.

With my innovative idea of using gaming software and AR/VR mobile applications in the classroom teaching, with a methodology of peer learning and flip classroom, able to develop 21st century skills among students.

I believe in teamwork so developed various teaching aids not only for my subject but to help other subject teachers as well and inspire teachers to use them in their day to day teaching process.

In efforts to made teaching learning more effective and interesting. I with my team of students also developed video tutorials to extend the learning.

Organizing events and programs for students for involving professional techniques, cyber security and emerging technologies.

Message : In this pandemic, setting and achieving goals for learning is challenging for both teachers and schools. But as our PM said, ‘find the opportunity in a challenge’, our teachers are working their level best to morph this hurdle into a learning process. Most of the teachers were dropped in a pool of online teaching one fine morning, and suddenly had to survive and learn to swim. Everyone has learned to use technology, even those who denied the role of technology in classroom teaching as they didn’t have any alternative for that to spare their jobs and continue learning. Being an educator, I believe that every problem comes with a its solution and give us a chance to become a better human being. Take this challenge and shine like a pole star.
