My K12 Story, Journey So Far: Mr. Sinjo Jolly Mathew, Edupreneur at EPIC & Educational Consultant

When everyone said money is what you need, I just smiled and said what about education???


“Education must not simply teach work – it must teach life…”


My aim is to create a new way of thinking to achieve a fruitful life through education blending it with moral values and talent skill development to lead a successful life throughout.

Introduction

Being into education industry is so exciting and learning experience for me so far both in my personal and professional life. I started my career as a call centre

agent and continued the same for two years. Later in 2005 I realized that this is not what I want to become and do in my life. I may earn so much but I may not get what I am looking for, a helping hand a support to my people and my society. That’s how I somehow realized the path I am waiting for is none other than providing good education through knowledge I gained and the knowledge going to gain through my experience ahead. I started my educational career as a private tutor for English and Business Studies majorly handling students from CBSE curriculum. As we human beings not satisfied with what you do and what you have, same way I wasn’t satisfied with just giving tuitions. I started giving life lessons to schools students and college students. I was very much finally decided need to move on to any educational corporate to learn more and gain knowledge to serve the way I want to bending my knowledge and skills to enhance the same to next level.


My Journey

My professional life moved in a good pace but as for everyone it was a slow start, but I was sure that no matter I earn or not what I want to do was clear. It wasn’t easy for me though, I faced many challenges, ups and downs. I understood one thing, if I need to move and create an impact I should be my motivation. I faced many obstacles trying to stop me what I am doing criticizing that I will not reach anywhere in my life with this thinking and this approach. But as I mentioned my motive was not to increase my bank balance rather to increase the knowledge level and help the needy to acquire their talents to lead a meaningful life. My role was clear to me, to be a mentor to help our youth to understand the true meaning of life through the medium of education. I have got an opportunity to train many students, teachers and parents, especially counselling students, parents to choose the correct career path along with helping them to understand life value. And I am very proud to say that so far successful in doing so not only in India but in countries like Qatar, UAE, Nepal and Canada.


I am also considered to be a start up specialist in education industry helping lot of educational start ups to emerge as a game changer in the market. It was not so easy for me to gain this but as we say we learn from our mistakes. I did learn from the mistake I made starting my own institute but I wasn’t so successful in doing so and had to shut down my first initiative. But learned so many things to rise again like a rainbow with bright colors and that’s how started helping with my own learning (failure) graphs. Hence I was able to execute and create my own environment leading towards excellence. Best implement practices, holistic development to create new ideas made a remarkable change in my life through out.


I am always proud to say that I am an educationist and would continue to do so till I have strength. I would like to mention my strength such as I am adaptive, strategic planner, team player, leadership quality, never say no attitude. I believe in building relationships and networks to enhance the growth factor. I can work under any pressure with a smile on my face always. I believe if you really want to achieve something, you will have to start from the end.


Last not but the least I would like to mention that part from being an educationist my love towards sports and fitness. I am passionate towards body building and I am a fitness trainer as well. I have a certification in personal training. Was a part of many body building shows and being awarded for different categories.

Conclusion

Education is the first step for people to gain the knowledge, critical thinking, empowerment and skills they need to make this world a better place.
