Chandigarh: An official statement claimed that a high-level delegation from the Maharashtra education department visited many schools in Punjab on Thursday to learn first-hand how government schools operate. According to a Punjab government statement, the delegation visited the Government Model Senior Secondary School Phase 3B1 and Meritorious School Mohali "on the directive of Education Minister of Maharashtra Deepak Kesarkar" and was led by Ranjit Singh Deol, Secretary of the Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department.
The team learned about school infrastructure, free education for kids, free uniforms, smart classrooms, and top teaching and learning techniques during their tour. According to the report, they also went to libraries and science labs.
The delegation also gathered data on the admissions process for students, school ratings, other mobile apps used by students, other teaching-related activities, mid-day meal programmes, playgrounds, and additional study resources.
The statement claimed that they also witnessed appealing and colourful teaching materials that had been created by the instructors for inclusive instruction. The delegation continued its visit by speaking with Jaspreet Talwar, Punjab's principal secretary for school education.
The team was briefed by Talwar on the organisational structure of the Punjab School Education Department, teacher training programmes, the hiring procedure for teachers, the smart school policy, the online teacher transfer policy, the sports policy, and numerous other crucial details.
