Little Flowers Public School celebrated World Book Day on 23rd April (2022) enthusiastically.

The observance of 'World Book Day

'The more you read, the more you will understand.' The more you study, the further you will travel.' Dr. Seuss said it best.

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, a man who never reads lives only one. So it is well said that reading inculcates the skills and enthrals imagination.

‘World Book Day is celebrated every year on April 23. The day aims to inculcate the reading habits among people, especially the youth. The date was decided by UNESCO as it was the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare, the world-famous author. To celebrate this event our school organized a Special Assembly and encouraged the Florians to read more and more books. The assembly began with the prayer which was followed by a motivating speech delivered by School Librarian. Shagun Sharma of IX H, and Abdul Ahad of IX H, presented words of wisdom regarding World Book Day. Devansh Vats X C & Deepika Garg of X H recited beautiful poems. A bookmark-making Activity for III & IV Class Students was conducted. Class V & VI Students participated in Story Writing Activity. Class VII & VIII Students took part in the Slogan Writing & Innovative Book Decoration Activity.

At the library, an inter-class activity for Class IX and X was held. 'Slogan Writing & Innovative Book Decoration' was the activity. The children greatly loved the activities and participated eagerly in order to make the day memorable.

Mrs. Neeta Dua, the school's principal, spoke to the kids about the importance of reading and urged them to become avid readers.
