What did the petition say? The petition field by Arvind Tiwari stated that due to the high number of Covid-19 cases in the state, it would be it would be best if ICSE board exam results were declared on the basis of gradation and assessment of past performance in internal exams in the ISCE schools.
The Maharashtra government has also stated before that holding exams in the current pandemic situation was not viable.
The bench, after perusing the board’s decision, posted the matter for further hearing on Wednesday.
What did the ICSE board say? The ICSE board said all affiliated schools in the country would be notified about this decision after which schools would need to contact the ICSE class 10 students and ISC class 12 students to make a note of their choices as to whether they wanted to appear for the board exams or if they wanted to be evaluated on the basis of internal assessment.
