EduDrone - WE CONNECT organised a session on Visual Thinking, conducted by Mr. Piyuesh Modi, Netherlands

2nd of June, 2021 marked a revolutionary and illuminating session for Eduleaders, Educators and Students to learn the art of Visual thinking by the internationally acclaimed Visual Storytelling Coach, Mr. Piyuesh Modi live from Netherlands through the Virtual Educational Platform of EduDrone- WE CONNECT.
The Moderator of the event, the ever enthusiastic and energetic Ms.Kajal Chattija, Founder, EduDrone-WE CONNECT, Executive Director, Gayatri Group of Schools, Pune introduced the speaker and did welcome the audience for the curiously energetic informative extravaganza. Ms. Chhatija aroused the curiosity in the educators by sharing the fact that the art of visual thinking will bring immense joy and happiness. This will make their classrooms expressive and impactful.
The session started by Mr.Piyuesh Modi, introducing himself through a creative visual art which explained about all his endeavours, interests and his personality all at a glance which brought curiousity among audience to learn and know how visual thinking can transform education.
Further, Mr. Piyuesh started with the step by step explanation of 'What, Why and How' of learning Visual Thinking (VT), Impact of VT through the dual code theory explaining how visuals are impressive and more impactful for the learning process. Taking the session ahead, Mr.Piyuesh threw light on the uses of Visual thinking in the educational field through teaching, learning and evaluation process, making students and educators indulging in creating mind maps, visual collaboration techniques through team building in classroom environment, using sketchnotes instead of text notes etc. Mr. Piyuesh used some fabulous visual thinking examples for explaining complex concepts of Science, History, Civics through a single glance of visual doodles.
Further, Mr. Piyuesh explained the audiences the three basic stages of visual journey for educators comprising of:
* Visual Activation
* Visual Storytelling and Sketchnotes
* Visual methods of teaching
In the second part of session, Mr.Piyuesh shared his experiences of conducting Visual thinking sessions for various international stakeholders including corporate sector employees, management students, international schools, etc.
Followed by it was the much awaited hands-on activity to practically learn the art of Visual Thinking where Mr.Piyuesh used simple geometric shapes of lines, circle, oval, square, rhombus, parallelogram, etc to draw complex terminologies like global university, war, nepolian, idea, etc in the most simplest and easiest form which involved the attraction of all audiences of the session making the session to be more interactive and full of fun learning.
The educators appreciated the crisp and informative session conducted by Mr. Piyuesh and showered all words of praises to Ms. Kajal and Team- EduDrone for conducting a wonderful session yet again.
