Despite Lockdown Kalka Public School, Alaknanda has celebrated 50th Digital Earth Day on April 22, 2020. The theme of the day was ‘CLIMATE ACTION’
Students of classes vi to xii participated and contributed their support to aware the people to protect our environment and earth along with maintain the govt. norms of social distancing from home. Student came up with interesting and innovative ideas about how to save our earth. They made PPTs and videos showcasing their contribution and ideas as to how everyone can contribute to protect our earth. They shared their own videos online with teachers while making a compost bin to use in home as well as planted a plant.They also focused to use paper bag, jute bag in place of plastic bags. They made the posters which describe eco rules (way to reduce carbon foot print)They also indulged in a craft activity in which they coloured a thermocol piece and made a shape of earth with message save earth save life. It was an awesome experience for both teachers as well as students to celebrate EARTH DAY fully digital and passing the message to community that being a responsible citizen it is our duty to protect our earth in any condition.
