Due to the expected severe rains in the two districts of Bundi and Kota in Rajasthan, all schools and other educational institutions will be closed on August 23.
On Monday, the Bay of Bengal's Deep Depression System made landfall in Rajasthan's eastern region. As a result, there was a lot of rain in the districts of Jaipur, Jhalawar, Kota, Bundi, Baran, Tonk, Dausa, Karauli, and Udaipur. While several colonies were inundated, water was running like river streams on the highways. Due to water logging in several places, traffic was disrupted as well as daily life.
The Meteorological Department reports that Kota city received the most rain during the past 24 hours. Here, there was up to 9 inches of rain, which led to a flood-like situation. The administration has proclaimed days off for colleges and universities. From late Sunday evening to early Monday morning, it rained in Jaipur as well.
