A way to celebrate Earth Day on 22nd April at The Heritage School

The theme of World Earth Day 2022 is 'Invest In our Planet'.

“Take care of the earth, and it will take care of you” Earth day is a perfect opportunity to teach our children about our environment, recycling, and compassion. According to the Pre Schoolers, every day is Earth Day! And, they’re right, every day we can do things both big and small to help take care of our planet Earth. The pre-schoolers on this occasion gave a small token of love to Mother Earth by doing an earth day craft activity in school and singing beautiful songs and poems.

The enthusiastic learners of Pre-primary learned about how our giving mother, mother earth provides various things to us including food to eat, oxygen to breathe in, etc, and how plants play a vital role in our survival. In a gesture of giving back to Mother Earth, these little ones planted saplings with the help of Mali Bhaiya.

Towards sensitizing the young learners about the Earth and how we must cherish it, a discussion about the polluted air around us, the causes of pollution, and the rising levels of AQI were done in Grade 3. Subsequently, learners made Anti-pollution posters. In the coming days, they will be raising awareness about ways to tackle this issue by going to different classes to talk about ways to reduce pollution and will be displaying their posters as well.
