New Delhi : 652 teachers benefitted with the seven days Capacity Building e-series.Career Beacon concludes the seven days capacity Building e-Series successfully ( 25th June -1st July 2020)



Career Beacon Magazine organised seven days e-Series to curb the burnout of teachers due to COVID pandemic.

Speaking to Media officials, Sunanda Rao the Managing Editor of Career Beacon shared that 652 teachers benefitted with the seven days Capacity Building e-series.

Ms Sunanda mentioned that the e-Series for teachers was an outcome of feedback received from teachers of various schools who have attended their parental and learning series in the past few weeks, during the lockdown.

Ms Kavita Rai, the Associate Editor, mentioned that Career Beacon caters to all segments of education and the topics synced with today's challenge of teaching fraternity as overnight teaching methodology shifted the gears from the physical classroom to the virtual classroom.

Ms Sunanda also mentioned that Ms Shivani Sahni Principal GD Goenka, Ms Harvinder Kaur Principal Jaypee Vidya Mandir, Ms Alka Kapur Principal Modern Public School had extended their support to curate the topics.


The seven days series focussed on a theme -curbing the burnout of teaching fraternity during and concentrate on mental health and self-care is of utmost importance

The series will cover the talks by eminent educationists one day on each topic.

On day 1: Ms Alka Kaur Principal Modern Public School shared her views on Tackling the Post Pandemic within Schools Alka Kapoor


Ms Harvinder Kaur principal Jaypee Vidhya Mandir & Mr Surender Sachdeva Principal Delhi Public School Bopal, Ahmedabad spoke about Social distancing in Schools & Focus on Mental health - how important is it? On day 2.


On the Day 3 Ms Poonam Thakur Principal Jindal Vidhya Mandir Vasind & Dr Priti Ojha Principal Delhi International School, Dwarka New Delhi shared their strategies on How to increase the student's engagement in new normal.


The Day 4 revolved around the topic Restructuring Academics - inquiry-based learning & Stories as teaching pedagogy Dr Partibha Kohli Principal Maharaja Agarsen Model School & Ms Meghashri Halder Director Academics, Calorx Public School, Ahmedabad.


On the Day 5 Ms Sunayana Gupta Principal at Sahaj International & Ms Shivani Sahni Principal at GD Goenka Public School shared their perspectives on Movement from Content to Competency & Revamping Assessment System.


Dr C B Mishra (Director & Principal of Prudence Group of Schools shared his insights on Knowledge Construction - Giving an edge to Students Learning on the Day 6.


Finally, the e-Series concluded with a power-packed talk on How important is it to include life skills in curriculum, The topic covered the real-life case studies by Ms Fatema Agarkar Founder of Agarkar Center of Excellence (ACE).


To e-Series recognized 12 participants basis of their takeaways shared in the feedback form.

Ms Rao & Ms Rai mentioned that the 3rd Edition of Career Beacon would be launched by 2nd week of July 2020, and the Coverpage will contain the winners of the Coping up with COVID'19 winners the online Video Contest.
